Burkhart, Bissinger, Krape Running Wild in the Heat

Friday

(Mackeyville, PA)

Kevin Burkhart raced hard and battled a tough track to get 5th place in the feature at Clinton County. Kevin said that the engine in his Monte Carlo body stocker was strong. Once he gets some more handling on this car, we expect more things from this driver.

Saturday

(Selinsgrove, PA)

Keith Bissinger kept the tires on the 11B and ran away with the 12 lap Road Runner Feature Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway. Keith took the lead on the third lap and never looked back. Keith is just 5 points out of the points lead, and ready to go on a roll now that the tracks seem to be drying out. Bill Benner picked up a Heat Race win at "The Grove".

(Port Royal, PA)

Tim Krape had problems with his yellow #27 car, so he brought the purple #07 car (with the Byers Built Engine) to Port, and it still new the way around the track. Tim had to work hard from his 9th place start, but with two laps to go Tim said that he decided to use Scotty Hause's line that brought Hause from 24th to 1st in the late model feature. Krape laid the 07 high in the turns and cruised to another victory. Tim also wanted to thank his Dad, Harold, and his brother, Tom, for convincing him not to sell the 07 car and for working on it over the winter.

Tim has 3 wins with a Byers Built Engine so far this year. Keith Bissinger has 4 wins in the Byers Built 11B. Add in Donnie Murphy's Enduro win and Ray Rothfuss' Road Runner 20 win and we have 9 feature wins so far this season. This weekend Tim is taking the Purple 07 to Clearfield to race his 2bbl 350 against the 410 4bbl cars out there. Last time Tim took 3rd. We hope he's got something for them.
